The EURELECTRIC’s Fourth Environment and Sustainable Development Report (4th ESDR) aims to show trends in environmental performance and the significant emission reductions made by the European Electricity Industry during the last two decades.

As in the previous editions, this report contains specific examples, seeking to demonstrate some of the industry’s best practices. In this fourth report, we aim to show recent improvements, not only in environmental performance, but also in the social and economic areas, in an attempt to broaden the scope of previous reports.
