Contigo marks best year-to-date with first User Conference

London, 28 March 2011

Contigo, the Solihull-based provider of trading and logistics software to the energy industry is celebrating an outstanding year, crowned by the success of its first user conference.

The one-day event - which was the first to be staged by Contigo – brought together international energy experts from around the world to network and discuss the latest developments across the energy sector, as well as showcasing Contigo’s latest products.

Earlier in the year, the company reported its most successful financial results to date, with a remarkable 95 per cent increase in turnover between 2009 and 2010, driven predominantly by the demand from some of the world’s top energy companies for Contigo’s flagship enTrader software.

Jon Yeomans, Director at Contigo, said: “The success of this first user conference has really highlighted what a fantastic year it has been for us, building on the outstanding sales of enTrader.  It is particularly exciting to see our concepts come to fruition and satisfying to have such positive reactions to our enTrader product from both existing and potential new customers.  This event was a fantastic success with virtually all of the prospective clients requesting further in-depth, on-site demonstrations of the software.

“We have some exciting new developments planned for the coming months and I am certain that 2011 will result in further growth for Contigo with substantial new sales both for enTrader and our other software solutions.”

The event’s keynote address was given by top industry expert Dr Gary M. Vasey of CommodityPoint, the leading analyst and consulting firm in the commodity software space, who flew in from the Czech Republic especially for the event.

Dr Vasey, said: “Contigo continues to attract new clients through its outstanding products and its pragmatic approach to solving business problems. Contigo is a company that benefits from an air of enthusiasm and a ‘can-do’ attitude that is found in entrepreneurial companies that are enjoying the fruits of their labours.  I am confident Contigo’s suite of software products will become increasingly prominent and successful throughout the industry.”

Having secured a number of new contracts with major international clients, including energy provider E.On, Contigo is now looking to expand its workforce by over 50 per cent in the coming year.
