London, February 2012
The 2nd Annual Energy Trading Regulations and Compliance Summit is dedicated to bringing together key energy regulators, energy companies, energy trading banks from across the energy industry. This summit provides a crucial platform to address the uncertainty and industry response around the restrictive nature of the latest regulatory provisions.
Following the success of the ETRC summit last year, where we brought over 120 senior level delegates together, IRN is pleased to bring you an even stronger forum to continue last’s year’s discussions and gauge the progress since.
New regulations have been outlined and demand more attention in the wake of stricter compliance frameworks being imposed; this year’s summit aims to address the most up-to-date reports from the key regulators such as the European Commission, FSA and ESMA, paying particular attention to the new developments within MiFID II, MAD, REMIT and EMIR. There will be discussion around business harmonization and transparency to determine the implications of the changes to your current compliance strategy, team and resources.
ETRC 2012 is the ideal forum to share experiences, gain insights into the most relevant and up-to-date industry regulations and discuss best practices to gauge what the expectations from the regulators really are and how other energy companies are going about meeting the new requirements. It is also a unique opportunity to meet the senior level compliance and legal teams within the spectrum of wholesale energy so you can discover the implementation challenges that are surfacing and how to deal with them.
Last year we had an excellent line-up of speakers from the key energy companies, as well as updates from the European Commission and FSA. This year, we will deliver another excellent speaker faculty consisting of senior level compliance executives from across the global energy companies such as E.ON, EDF, RWE and more.
You’ll be able to walk away from ETRC 2012 with more clarity on how to strengthen your compliance framework to avoid penalties and adhere to tighter requirements.
