Energy exchange APX-ENDEX today announces a new daily record on its Power NL Day-Ahead auction. On the auction, where trading of electricity takes place on one day for delivery on the next day, a new record of 144,201 MWh was traded on 8 August for delivery on 9 August at an average price of €41.03/MWh.
This is the second record volume traded within a three week period. The previous record, 134,032 MWh, was reached on 22 July 2011.
