Palm oil buoyed as heavy rain hits Indonesia

Palm oil prices have surged to near a one-and-a-half-year high after heavy rain and floods damaged crops in Indonesia, the world's largest producer, raising concerns about supply shortages as vegetable oil demand grows in Asian emerging countries.
