China aims to shut down more than 50 gigawatts of small coal-fired power generators and 8,000 small coal mines this year, the State Council, China's cabinet, said in a document published on Tuesday. All steel blast furnaces of less than 400 cubic metres each are also targeted to be closed by the end of 2011, the document showed.Ends --
