19 entities are now trading and clearing on the UK power futures market which launched 31 January last year.
NASDAQ OMX Commodities Europe currently lists base load and peak load UK power futures benchmarked against the N2EX day-ahead auction. Instruments are financially settled and can be traded out to 2014. All transactions are cleared by NASDAQ OMX Clearing acting as central counterparty. Members can opt to clear through either through a direct membership or via our General Clearing Members (GCMs).
