London Metal Exchange: The LME Steel Billet prices will be available for all subscribers to LME market data from 1 January 2012 in response to industry requests for reliable and transparent daily steel pricing.: The LME Steel Billet prices will be available for all subscribers to LME market data from 1 January 2012 in response to industry requests for reliable and transparent daily steel pricing. A single subscription will now cover all non-ferrous contracts, LME Steel Billet, minors, LMEminis and LMEX.

As trading in the steel contract has grown – up more than 30% year on year – so has demand for better price information. The LME Steel Billet price is daily, for both cash and futures.

14 million tonnes of billet have traded so far this year with a notional value of $7.7 billion.
