Has someone spotted the Hunt Brothers? Silver, the "poor man's gold", has outpaced its fellow precious metal, rising by two-thirds this year and nearly 14 per cent last month compared with 26 and 2 per cent for gold. The reason it is merely flirting with a 30-year and not an all-time high like gold is the corner that the Texan siblings executed on the market in 1980 when it nearly hit $50 an ounce, versus $28.40 today.
