ETF's Physical Silver (PHAG) holdings hit a record high last week, reaching 25.3 mn ounces by Friday 12 February.

PHAG holdings have seen a continuation of their strong uptrend this year despite some pressure on silver spot prices since the start of 2010, highlighting the strategic nature of much of these holdings. ETF Securities' physical silver product holdings stand at almost 34 mn ounces globally, close to record highs seen in December 2009. These global holdings are now almost 2.5 times their previous commodities boom peaks in H1 2008.
