One newcomer to the London Stock Exchange goes to the rescue of another. How frightfully decent. There is talk that commodities trader-cum-miner Glencore, which in May pulled off the year's most hyped initial public offering, could bail out Bakrie Group, Nathaniel Rothschild's Indonesian coal mining partners in Bumi. That seems plausible if only because of the parties involved. This is just the sort of rip-roaring stuff that sceptical investors have come to expect of foreign companies that list on the London market.
