It is no secret that the Australian mining sector is enjoying a once-in-a-century boom. Not since the end of the 19th century have the country's terms of trade, a measure of the price of imports against exports, been so good. The driver has been the commodity boom, sustained largely by the extraordinary industrialisation of China.
