Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking announces the appointment of Jonathan Whitehead as Deputy Global Head of Commodities. Jonathan joined the bank in early May and his appointment further reinforces the Commodities management team of the department following the recent development plans in the energy field. Jonathan is based in London and reports to Edouard Neviaski, Global Head of Commodity Markets.

Jonathan was formerly Head of Commodity Sales & Structuring at Barclays Capital covering Europe, Middle East & Africa. He was specifically in charge of supervising flow sales, origination, structured transactions and business development across all commodities (base & precious metals, energy and Agricultural products) for both Corporates and Hedge Funds. Previously, he occupied several management positions in EDF Trading, Dynegy and Enron in the U.S., the UK and in Japan.
