As demand for storage capacity for the world’s most commonly traded commodities grows, both governments and major private commodity trading companies are investing heavily in warehousing and tank capacity.
This article summarises some of the risk issues arising from the storage of goods for those parties involved in the commodity business and clarifies the legal status of some of the documentation in current usage in the industry.
