The next big Atlantic commodity?

The stage is set for a rapid expansion of Atlantic basin trade in a product that is safe and easy to handle in bulk, easy to trace and certify through the supply chain, but valued only for its basic energy content, allowing sourcing from a huge number of locations. This commodity is woodchips: a carbon neutral, solid fuel that reduces dependence on fossil fuels and intermittent renewables.
