Feeding the 9 billion ...

It’s taken 10,000 years to lift global food production to its present level. Now, we are suddenly going to have to try to double that output in fifty. Consequently, the scamble for land, water and other key resources is underway. And some investors are salivating at the prospect. Guy Isherwood reports.
