Placing Traders, the online recruitment, marketing and networking site, has undergone major developments in functionality and thus a significant expansion to its range of services.

Launched just over two years ago, Placing Traders is a global communication, information and employment network whose principal role has been, to date, to support recruitment agencies, job seekers, freelancers, consultants and employers in the Commodities, Energy, Fixed Income, Forex and Equity trading spaces. However, the recently introduced premium services are rapidly transforming the website into a multi-dimensional service, which takes marketing, networking and recruitment online to a new level.

The next generation site has extended the existing sphere of activities by introducing ‘My Placing Traders’, a feature allowing members to develop their own personal version of Placing Traders after they log-in, which automatically picks up favourites for viewing together with their job preferences and their network.

"The Redesign of the home page shows branding for companies either newly listed or adding content to the site, and all recent activity is searchable. RSS feeds bring news directly from either corporations themselves or news providers whereas featured jobs rotate on the home page and are highlighted in the jobs section,’’ according to Vicki Meddows-Smith, Managing Director.

‘"At the same time, procedures for networking and updating content to the site have been streamlined and made very easy to navigate. Both corporate and individual profiles have been given a new look, as have individual events, news items, jobs and groups. Also, every new public profile added to the website will be announced on the homepage. Moreover, in addition to the existing directory of blogs from external contributors, the website is now introducing a Placing Traders blog, to which people can contribute market-related articles’’.

The Trading People database, one of the website’s key features, enables members to create online multi-media profiles, which are fully searchable under various criteria thereby providing an invaluable tool for the industry, not only for those seeking staff or work, but for consultants, speakers and experts in a given field.

Thanks to the advancements in the webpage functionality companies can also add banner ads to the section of the site relevant to their activities: Home Page, Corporate Directory, News Section, Jobs Pages, Events, Twitter Feeds and Blogs and thus re-inforce the content they have uploaded.
