London, 31 March 2011

Camco has announced the signing of its largest renewable carbon development agreement between Huaneng Renewables Corporation Limited and Camco Carbon Credits Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Camco International Limited, for 20 of Huaneng Renewables’ wind power installations across China. Huaneng Renewables is the renewable subsidiary of Huaneng Group. The projects consist of 20 installations with a combined size of over 1000 MW of capacity. The projects are located in five provinces in China; Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Guizhou Province, Shandong Province, Yunnan Province and Liaoning Province and are designed to generate over 7.5m tonnes of emission reduction credits up to 2015.

Yariv Cohen, President, “We are proud to add Huaneng Renewable Energy to our growing customer base. China’s investment in clean energy development is unrivalled and sets an example to the world. China's forward-looking plan creates a wealth of opportunities for project developers, like Camco, that translate policy and transform it to business action.”

Camco's Carbon Project Development business has created one of the largest emission reductions portfolios and has structured groundbreaking and innovative arrangements for the sale and delivery of emission reductions to compliance and voluntary buyers.
